1:I have some metal stamps for stainless steel that is rusted, I thought stainless steel couldn't rust?

Stainless steel can develop rust. It is much less likely to rust but it can still rust. Leave a wet cast iron skillet in a stainless steel sink and you'll see a rusted ring in your sink. The stainless steel didn't rust but the pan stained the surface and it will not be easy to remove.

It is also possible for stainless steel to corrode (rust). There are over 150 grades of stainless steel and some are more prone to corrosion than others. Generally, the higher the chromium content, the less likely the steel will rust. However, over time, rust can and will develop on stainless steel. To prevent stainless steel from rusting, you need to passivate it. Passivating stainless steel is a process that allows stainless steel to retain its corrosion resistance.

2: What is metal stamping ?

Metal Stamping is a term used to refer to various press forming operations including coining, embossing, blanking, and pressing. Forming metals using pressure into the surface of a metal, usually a strip or sheet.

The operations most commonly associated with stamping are blanking, piercing, forming, and drawing.

These operations are done with dedicated tooling also known as hard tooling. Hard tooling is used to make high volume parts of one configuration of part design.

Soft tooling, on the other hand, is used in processes such as CNC turret presses, laser profilers, and press brakes. Soft tooling, on the other hand, can be easily modified or adjusted.

3: Do you make your own metal stamping tooling ?

Yes ,we make  my own metal stamping tooling .we total have three factory ,not only have  metal stamping factory ,also have welding ,metal stamping tooling and CNC turning parts .

4: What gauge metal can you stamping  ?

Advantaged fabricated metals can stamping up to thickness 10mm ,0.393"

5:   What is the capacity of your pressing ?

Our  press capacity run from 45T-1000T

6:what is galling ?

Galling is a form of wear caused by adhesion between sliding surfaces. When a material galls, some of it is pulled with the contacting surface, especially if there is a large amount of force compressing the surfaces together. Galling is caused by a combination of friction andadhesion between the surfaces, followed by slipping and tearing ofcrystal structure beneath the surface. This will generally leave some material stuck or even friction welded to the adjacent surface, whereas the galled material may appear gouged with balled-up or torn lumps of material stuck to its surface.

Galling is most commonly found in metal surfaces that are in sliding contact with each other. It is especially common where there is inadequate lubrication between the surfaces. However, certain metals will generally be more prone to galling, due to the atomic structure of their crystals. For example, aluminium is a metal that will gall very easily, whereas annealed (softened) steel is slightly more resistant to galling. Steel that is fully hardened is very resistant to galling.

Galling is a common problem in most applications where metals slide while in contact with other metals. This can happen regardless of whether the metals are the same or of different kinds. Metals such asbrass are often chosen for bearings, bushings, and other sliding applications because of their resistance to galling, as well as other forms of mechanical abrasion.
